Started off shaky with trim problem, went back to dock and found the release screw in the dark, got her down. Seems like she’s low on fluid with no obvious leaks. Fishing started slow with no bites for an hour or so. Finally the fish turned on. We found a weedline in 330 ft and went to work. Double header broke the ice and in process of gaffing first fish we realize there are a bunch more following the second fish. Dropped the dink back and picked up another, broke out the spinner with a naked hoo and picked up 4 more within 25-30 minutes, all 15-25 lbs non stop action. Cockpit was trashed… rods squid chains, teasers all over the place. Fun with a crew of two. picked at the dolphin the rest of the day and headed in early (12:30)with a maxed out fishbag (13). What a day. Hot lures were squid chain with a little lead and an islander attached, homemade “Squirt” lures, ballyhoo flash duster and a squid skirt combo blue/pink squid, pink flasher. Whalure should have a report coming tomorrow. I tried to give him the numbers in between fire drills, to no avail.
