This 23.5 lb. striper was caught in our newest member’s boat, today. My good friend, Dennis Huber, from Wisconsin, assisted this 82 year old friend of his parents, who was visiting for his mother’s 90th birthday. Dennis joined the club at the February meeting.
Needless to say this is the largest fish this lady has ever caught, and everyone involved was thrilled. The striper was 37.5 inches long. We will measure girth tomorrow. She was a fat one (the fish) LOL!
The fish was caught mid-lake on a flat line on a herring.
Nice fish! I think the spawn is starting already. One of the fish I caught this past weekend was putting off milk already. The 28# we caught was fat to. I believe the females are loaded up with eggs and males loaded with milk.
