My parents are in town from Ga and I got to take dad out on a beautiful Wednesday in the low-country to target reds. We caught some smaller fish early and dad had one real good one up to the boat but he got off about 10 feet from the boat. Went up to the Charleston Crab House for some flounder sandwiches and then headed back out. Fished a few more spots that have held fish for a few weeks now but not a bite. I think the current was too swift for them to hold up in there. Explored a few new spots and waited for low tide because I had seen some fish at low tide two Sundays ago and I had a feelin that they would be there again. And, they were! I was really glad dad got to catch the biggest one and it was tagged too. Cant wait to see the dnr report on that guy. He was on or about 36 in on the ruler. Scales only went to 15 lbs and he was over that. We are going again sat and sunday. I am glad to get to fish w my dad even if we dont catch any. The fish are just a bonus.
