Nice Mako caught yesterday

Someone else, not us. 250 plus pounds. They also caught three wahoo. OK, that is it.

A good friend of mine was on that boat, brought me some wahoo steaks tonight.

That’s a nice mako. We’re trying for it Tuesday.

When are you planning on going Netgirl?

I had a relative on the boat and he said they were north of GTH near the ledge.

Think we will be going soon, hate to miss the nice weather today and tomorrow, but not feasible at this time. Hoping we can get out next week, as I am off all week for spring break…more than likely that just means the weather will be windy from the 16th to the 24th…

Mako was 215 the day after. Direct info from the boat that weighed it.

thats a toothy fishy… i’m not certain that i would bring him aboard, not knocking them for drying him out. just a personal preference. Certainly mr wahoo 3x would be welcome.

mako steaks are as good as swordfish. I would take a Mako ahead of wahoo for eating IMO.

I was down at ripley cleaning the boat this weekend and Jeff, the fella who manages the drystack, had a picture of it on his phone. I’ll give him a call tomorrow and see if he can email it to me.
