A 9-10 pound striper and a 6-7 pound hybrid. We kept a total of 14 and caught at least 20 on downrods… Good times!!

Well done James. You are the only person I know of that is onto fish on the Hill. Others have gone and struggled. A good day on the water is great. To be able to share that with your Dad is outstanding.

Thanks for another fun day’s fishing. It was great fishing with you and my good friend, “Poppa Fog”. You must have gotten your fishing genes from him, because he can catch about anything that swims on Murray.
Hopefully I’ll still be able to fish during chemo. If not I’ll have fond memories and anticipation of possibly more trips with Fog and “Poppa Fog”, when either of you have time, in the future. I like fishing but I sure like catching a lot better. Again, I thank you for another great trip.
Also, almost forgot to praise my first ever bought baitcasting reel. A vintage Diawai(sp) that I bought used in 1973. It still works like a charm. After 2 years I put the high speed gears in it for a faster retrieve. You’d probably be amazed to see how many big stripers it has put in various boats. Years ago had 3 over 12 lbs. in a week. Course that’s before I started targeting the green fish and perch. Don’t have to cover as much water to catch them year 'round.
Oh… and the ither guys are right about one thing. You sure have the fish on a short leash right now, on Murray and the Hill!! Just hop in the boat, ride to the spots and start catching fish. Keep this up and pretty soon the “guides” will be calling you for advice. Impressive fishing trips on Murray and the Hill. Hope they don’t move before your next tournament.
