We went back out today on Wes’ boat and didn’t leave to early b/c he pulled the overnight firefighting shift. Beautiful flat calm ocean. We ran a good bid further than we had to so we could fish/dive some spots you don’t always get to go to.
First ledge Wes found a nice anchor and chain and i was tying a bolon to connect to our anchor line he found a few nice grouper. I never could find them and less my very nice Riffe dive knive somehow in the process. Not a whole lot going on on that ledge. We moved around and checked some other spots and decided to run in 10 miles and dive a known to be productive spot.

Started ripin lips on some Bliners as soon as we anchored and we caught about 15 before the boat moved a little. They were bitiing hard. We went down with the tanks and had a good ole time. Did work on the groupers. I had a very large sand tiger shark bump my gun from behind to inform me that he was there and was interested in my grouper stringer. He was quite large but not agressive and very fun/nerve racking nontheless. He left for a minute and i was rerigging the speargun and snuk up behind me and his snout was literally 1 foot from my butt. There were some 10lb triggers on that spot and i wanted to shoot a few but i decided to go on up after my sand tiger made it clear he wasn’t gonna laeave me alone. I shot GoPro HD the whole dive and hopefully i can get a friend to edit it and post it next week. Hopefully the footage will be good. Another good day fishing/diving on Wes’ boat
