Went out for a few hours this afternoon once the wind died down. Figured id stick to the same pattern that produced well last weekend, which was very very slowly fishing gulp alive around rocks,docks and oysters. First spot, i spooked a group of reds and could not find them again. Also, got a very small trout. Got to the next spot and hooked up immediately w a slot red. Stayed there for a while and caught 2 over slots and 4 slots. Hit the next spot and got one more before dark. One of the fish was a tagged 22 incher! When I say fishing slow, i mean slow. As slow as possible and when you think you are fishing too slow. slow it down a bit. Slightly move the lure and then let it sit a while.

Very nice. Any fish on artificail is a good fish. Are you throwing gulp shrimp? I assume you’re using a 1/8oz jig head?

yea, gulp shrimp in molting color on a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig head depending on wind and current. The fish i spooked was because of the 1/4 jig head i think. got it hung and when i freed it it make a big splash right on top of the fish. But they may have spooked even w an 1/8 because they were shallow and it landed right on top of them.
