Nice Reds and Big Trout

Hit a spot as Hi tide was topping off just before turning and the Reds were in this creek. Tagged several over 22" and had a blast with my Shad swim bait

Got tired of reds and moved on and threw a trout top water plug where I saw a blowup and after a few cast this trout slammed it.

Can’t let you guys see this background. Thought I was low in the boat. Back home by 11:00am

23.5" 11lbs. Tears in the eyes as this fatrat swam away as well as the Reds. This has made my year. Tide was getting low and didn’t have any minnows to work for flounders. Great day anyway.

Nice report, congrats!

You better watch it with those mirrored glasses man. Someone’s gonna zoom in on those things n figure out where you’ve been hiding all those fatties.

No Lucky horse shoes and the one thing about the mirrored glasses is numerous areas in that region may look the same but NOT!!! One of my fishing friend ( The Big O*%^#$ ) as I would call him told me years ago be careful with the photos and he was right except he didn’t tell me the key to it all. I’ve figured it out and I appreciate Optiker and MR Phillips for their knowledge and support when they see one on the water; and those trout eyes still works for me but I would prefer those with the wire hooks so I could pull them out of structures and I fish structures hard but I also use spiderwire and that is a challenge with break offs. whereas wire hooks I maybe able to pull out and back at it again. No matter what the trout eyes work

Great catchin FatRat! You need to try our weedless jigs. Next time I see you on the water I’ll give you a few to try. Game changers…

Not a bad feeling to have. Good post!

mdaddy; I have a small inexpensive cannon camera and a bicycle handle bar camera holder I found on ebay (camera also)and after a few times taking shots; it works out great. I’ve been using it with the 10 sec time delay and this works for me even though I have a nice gopro. Need to start using it one day.

Beautiful fish, nice going.

Nice job! But are you saying the 23.5" trout was 11 lbs? or is that a misprint?

Kenny Hollingsworth

did poochie lose boat privileges?

makes me sad

thanks for the post

KHNC This was definitely a misprint and PeaPod since we had an accident a few years back Poochee wouldn’t ride in the truck. Still ride shock I guess and I don’t force her.
