Niece's First Slam!

Booked a trip with StretchArmstrong of Holy City Fishing Charters in hopes of puttin’ the niece on some fish. We enjoyed a steady trout bite, and the niece also landed her 2nd (ever) red. Finished the day in the harbor where we landed a small flatty to complete the slam. Almost all fish were caught on shrimp or mudders under a float, and the flatty was on a Carolina rig bumped across the bottom. Beautiful weather, great captain, good times had by all. Thanks again, John…

It’s definitely all good, Vin. Hard for me to have an issue when 1) it’s your boat, and 2) you’re hanging out with your own kids…

Op, Larry, Chuck, and everyone else-thanks for the kind words. I don’t have kids myself, but seeing the excitement and joy she receives when the rod doubles or the float disappears is as exciting as any football game I’ve played in or any fish I’ve caught myself.

The older I get, the more I enjoy helping others catch fish. Don’t get me wrong, I still love catching them, but putting someone on their first red is even better nowadays.

Good job. You’re a great uncle!
