I am moving to area soon. NC house is on market and I will move to SC as soon as I have a contract.
First few months I will be land bound (no way to store boat or even kayak while in temp housing).
I prefer night to day for fishing. My sun tolerance is low.
Why Charleston then? Has lots more tasty salt water fish then other places I’ve lived. If it turns out day fishing is better, I will bite the bullet and hydrate more and apply SPF-9999.
So where are the best no-boat night time fishing places?
I have the gear for pier/dock/bridge/surf.
I will be retired so schedule is wide open. My alarm can be set to the tides or sunset/sunrise.
For this type fishing should I follow the tides or sunrise/sunset?
Your sage advice is greatly appreciated.
Tacky add-on: If anyone has a boat and does an inshore trip while I am getting established, I will happily supply ■■■■■■■■■ fee/beverages in exchange for a ride to the fish. I do not smoke and keep quiet about political and religious stuff. I will be several months from being able to support even as little as a kayak.
