…but a great day to be in the woods with my son. We were on a man drive and this big doe flushed in my direction just before Randy could get a shot…he needed only a couple more steps. I wish he had got it instead of me, but didn’t work out for him. I got lucky and dropped it with an great going away shot. Love my Auto 5. If this deer was (a) a buck and (b) had 10 points on its head, there’s no way I would have got it!

Anyway, meat on the table and one less doe tag (which, for the record, was put on right after this picture was taken for the truck ride):slight_smile:

I have killed more nannies than bucks this season, and I haven’t been able to boil the antlers to where they are quite tender enough for consumption, anyway!! :smiley:
