I have no power to my ignition or gauges(which I believe are tied to the ignition) on the console. The switches that operate my horn, live well and bilge pump work fine. All wires appear to be connected Any suggestions? Did I mention how much I love electrical problems? ![]()
check the fuses if you have any.that’s a start.
Double D.
Power for your ignition and gauge are fed through a positive wire in the engine harness. Everything else you mentioned is fed by a separate wire connected to the battery through the battery switch (if equipped). Check your fuses and loose connections under the cowl as DoubleD mentioned.

A friend of mine just experienced this. If you don’t find any other loose connections, such as at the key switch, or any burned fuses, check the ground wire inside the engine cowling.

One other fuse you may not have found is an in-line fuse close to the battery (usually). It’s in a rubber pull-apart fuse container and it takes a big fuse, 15 or 30 amp. If that connection is rusted, put in a new fuse holder, not worth trying to repair one.
