Fished upper Wando for Sheeps yesterday (Sat.) used fresh local oysters for bait. Fished a couple different spots in 8 to 16ft of water. Water Temp 62-63 degrees.
Had a few nibbles but that was bout it for the day.
The wind seemed to really pick up at low tide so made it a difficult to feel um. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it…
Did you chum with the oysters too. It really sets them off.
yes 40inchreds… we chummed it up good but still no go

We fished capers Sunday and it was super slow, only got 5 decent sheep with about 10 shorts. Monday we decided try inshore structure for sheep after getting skunked on the reds and trout… not even a bite and we chummed

Is it too late for sheep inshore? Thinking about giving it a shot this weekend on some pylons…

I’m still new at fishing for sheeps but I don’t think is too late… we caught a few in July last year in upper Wando. One was 8lbs

No it’s about to catch fire. Structure close to a inlet or flat should produce. Get oysters and crush them and sling them where you think sheep head are and chase the chum with your baits
Caught 2 babies, otherwise no luck at the normal spots.
