No Natz? Anyone tried it?

The noseeums are driving me crazy. Anyone tried No Natz or have another product you like? My poor kids have been chased home a few evenings b/c these dam* bugs were so bad.

Bug spray? Works for me.

It works great, and doesn’t smell or feel all that bad. The No Natz rep came into Southern Drawl Outfitters and stayed it in his mouth (I heard)!!

if you can find an avon store…or lady i guess, the skin-so-soft comes in a spray with sunscreen added. wont effect flylines, mono, etc and doesnt smell like SSS.

I agree with Scotty. I swear by the SSS Expedition. Deet doesn’t work for jack, but the repellent in the SSS definitely keeps the gnats and skeeters at bay. I think it has SPF as well. Tight lines -

Fish to live.

Tried out the NoNatz today … the name is fitting … Works the best out of all the sprays I have tried

Most of the gnat repellants that don’t use deet have mineral oil as the base ingredient. It is the mineral oil that is effective, the gnats just get gummed up in it and don’t bite. Plain old mineral oil is as good as any so called gnat repellant that you will pay $$ for. It will not deter the mosquitos or deer flies.
I have no idea how to keep them out of your hair, if you still have any except a hat.

Havent used it in boat yet, but it works great from the bank! Simon, is it waterproof for wading?

yak, I was on a flat … wasn’t wet so unsure … only used on the arms and face

I haven’t tried it yet but a friends swears the brown gold listerine sprayed on the skin works wonders. Ill try to repost after I try it.

I bought some No Natz at Haddrells today. I’ll report back how it works. If it does the trick, I’m going to invest in that company!

The (**() no-see-ums have something personal against me. Granted, I’ve killed plenty of them but apparently they think I’m below them on the food chain.

I work, every day, with extremely harsh and volatile solvents (acetone, MEK, MAK, butyl acetate, lacquer thinner, etc) and I can confidently say that I dread the thought of putting Listerine on my skin. It’s the mouthwash equivalent of Grape-Nuts cereal.

Which ingredients would you have concern with? Only one that comes to mind to me would be the methyl salicylate absorbing too much but that’s minimal compared to things like aspercreme. All that alcohol might dry out the skin. I don’t want to try if its harmful.
