i currently thought murry was loosing its popularity with striper fishing but found out other wise last night. tried to go out but got on the water and got rained out before i really got started talked to three different boats at the landing and all three were from out of town. 1 from forest city, nc 1 from somewhere above charlotte and the other one was from somewhere in nc the shortest drive was 2hrs. they said they been catching big fish and plenty of them. i guess murry isn’t doing too bad… i joked around with them for a little bit and told them to go home and leave my fish alone…lol…they got a kick out of that. big day next saturday. thinking of doing the runaway bride thingy and have a boat sitting on the sandbar behind the preacher…lol…

murraymaker; congrats on getting hitched next week. been there for 36 years. steelytom and i went out in my boat last night . started fishing around 6pm. caught one 18incher around 6;30. tom caught one right at 23 probably 40minutes later. we wer getting bites and i hooked another; lost it. then we caught three cats from 3-5lbs. saw the weather getting ready to kick up so loaded up and came to the house and i showed him how to filet the fish. we were home by 9pm. just finished some striper nuggets;huspuppies, cole slaw and fries. mmmmmmmmmmmmmgood cracker.
i meant to say i showed him how to filet using an electric filet knife. i am sure that he knows the manual way but he said that he learned something and that was good. lol
