No takers on the hogs?

No body has any suggestions on where a fella can find any hogs? I am new to the hog hunting game and I’m just looking for a little advice, that’s all…not trying to take anyone’s honey hole.

I bet my fish is bigger then yours…

Thanks yakman, can you hunt hogs right now?

All year long. No season. Kill as many as you can!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, I’d go back and re read the regs for WMA’s very closely. Private land, kill em all year long, WMA’s are a VERY different story. In a nutshell, on a WMA one can kill hogs during any open game season ONLY with the legal weapon for said open game season.
I sure wish we could hunt them year round on WMA’s with weapon of choice, but unfortunantly it’s not so.

Just read where feral hogs are now the second most hunted animal in the US after deer. Thought that was pretty intersting.

low/wet, swampy areas in francis marion national forest. plenty of sign can be found where the ground is moist and dug up. definitely check the rules/regs to make sure which hunt unit is open for deer. obviously can’t go when there’s a dog drive happening, check the dates.

Thanks guy for the info, I will get in the regs to see where I can hunt.

all the info you need is on dnr web site. they list all wma’s with hogs and seasons…get out there, get your boots dirty and have fun

havent killed one on my own, but swampy areas are where im finding the most sign although i still have nothing to show for it this year and yes im new to bowhunting hogs myself. ive also found trails through brush/weeds way too thick for me to walk through with hog droppings all around them. on the guided hunt i went on every time the dogs would find and or bay a hog it was in the thickest stuff you could possibly get through. however when you go out dont be me and forget the thermacell…you will regret it!

We are getting plenty of them. Remeber to bleed them out ASAP!
Then bring them to us.
