I was planning on Sunday in a 230wa, and I wasn’t buying the forecast being as choppy as reefcast says. I am thinking now maybe late next week? Any of you guys in a small boat considering Sunday?

Courtland, whats is the scoop for monday

I fish out of Hilton Head. A lot of days I run South. I could be an easy 100NM+ from Edisto buoy, fyi.

To me, you won’t find better weather than Sunday and Monday. SW wind starts to come back by Tuesday. Get a little west wind later today and tomorrow to stretch out that 7 second swell and line up the weeds. Better go buy your ballyhoo now.

Disclaimer- I have not check the info I posted yesterday about the backdoor front. May want to look at that.

Just took a look, better clear your schedule and call in dead, looks purty.

I’m going Sunday.

Moved down to SC from NC in December, so this will be my first trip out of Charleston. Planning on trying out some reefs and, if nothing else, just running around burning gas getting my bearings on the water down here. Gotta jump at any opportunity when I’m limited to weekends and driving down from North Augusta.

I’m leaving around 7 back by 3. I will be well short of the trolling grounds. Not sure I’d be much of a buddy, lol. Don’t pay much attention to the radio either. Usually scanning 68/69 if anything. Where u headed?

Me and 3 others are heading out Sunday as well, good luck. Prob start at the outcrop and push out to deep water.

I think upon further review I will try it out, Sunday. Leaving Remleys point at five headed to the north end of EB to start. Andyb you riding on a 20 footer?

I think im gonna have to see for myself what it looks like Sunday. We will at least poke our head out there. Leaving Remleys at 5 if anyone wants to buddy boat toward EB

Yep. 20’ Shamrock. I’m still making my plan but I’m good with running her 30 miles or so off. So I’m not talking about taking her to the stream. I’d be going tomorrow too if I had my stuff ready. Just curious, what are you seeing in the forecast that’s making you hesitant to go? The 6 second period?

andyb the 6 sec are what I was looking at. 2 feet at six doesn’t bother the boat 3 at six sucks for my boat to go 55 miles. The following sea will likely help
