Non Ethanol Gas

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase non ethanol regular grade gas? I have a new Yamaha 150 4 stroke and do not put gas with ethanol in it. My dad had a place on the Lake near Holly Hill. There was a Marathon gas station that only sold non ethanol gas in all grades. Everytime I went to the lake I filled several cans. Now they stopped selling the non ethanol except for the premium. I can get that near me but Yamaha site recommends non ethanol gas but not the premium. They say it will cause problems with motor. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Which is worst, ethanol gas or non ethanol preium? Can anyone out there give me any advice?

anything with ethanol is bad, get the premium without if you can.

I use the premium non ethanol because I like to always go out with a full tank, and I seldom use more than a quarter tank.

Octane drops as the gas ages, and I don’t get out often enough to keep the gas fresh by only using a quarter of a tank per trip.

you can google efree gas or something like that to find some websites which are trying to show where you can get efree gas. For what it is worth I am with these guys, I’d run premium in my F150 if that is all I had. But I would try to not do that all the time since it is expensive and perhaps not recommended. Hopefully you can find some mid grade or regular somewhere nearby.

Thanks for the advice. So far, as before, I can only find stations that sell non ethanol in the preium. I think it sucks that Yamaha recommends regular non ethanol gas but no one sells it.

Because of the helpful advice given by Palmettores through the efree gas site, for those interested, I did find 2 stations West Ashley that at least sell mid grade non ethanol. I called them both to confirm. They are both Exons and are at 1127 & 2209 Savannah Hwy. The closest from Summerville going toward lake was a Citgo in St George.

The VGo at the corner of Farmfield Ave and Hwy 17 in West Ashley now has non-alcoholic gas. Don’t remember what grade. Price was similar to premium. 'Seems like it was not premium (93). Maybe 91 or 89. I’ll try to remember to look next time through.

That is a big negative - Toler’s has ethanol gas and always has. IOP Marina and Harbor Hilton Marina have ethanol free.

Tolers advertises e free fuel on marinefuel.com.

This isn’t rocket science, either they do or they don’t.

the station next to the pig on the way to folly.
