Do they make some type of non-skid paint for aluminum boats,I want to put it on the tops of dry storage lid on my duracraft and the seat platforms,I’ve got the stick on type but it does not last very long, the paint is worn off and its slippery as a greased eel when wet or muddy.
Val-Spar and Behr make a skid not paint and I am currently putting the Val-Spar in my duck boat. I have removed all the carpet and going with this instead of rhino liner or something of that nature.
Cabelas has something that works but (**() if it isnt expensive 79 or so for a gallon.
Here is a link to my project.

No one knows if YOU are THE village IDIOT or not until YOU open your mouth and speak!!!
take some paint of your choice, roll it on the surface, put some sand down & paint over it. Lot cheaper, the gritter the sand the better.

while the sand and paint option will work, the valspar skidnot paint is designed to be used on floor surfaces and should be more durable to wear and tear than traditional wall paint mixed with sand.
Herculiner Work Great you can buy it by the gallon in white
Woodfloats?
check out durabak, I did the inside of my McKee with it, you won’t slip on it, and its extremly durable. Order direct from their website
I second the durabak. I used it on my jon boat (casting platform, seats and floor). I bought 3 colors and did a camo pattern. It isn’t the cheapest way to go but by far exceeds the sand paint and grip pain formula. It’s tough as nails and gives the boat a little quieter nature. Ordered straight from durabak. Used a couple of dollar paint brushes from hardware store to apply. You need to make sure surface is clean and sand a little for best adhesion, but it is worth the effort.I talked to the guy and he let me order 3 quarts instead of the required gallon. 3 quarts did my 14’ 48" wide.
