North Bulls Bay 10.30

We entered the bay just as the incoming tide started moving. I toured around the north end for a bit, watching for signs of shrimp. Very few candles showed up on the sonar, and nothing was in the prop wash or skittering around. Normally I would throw one bait ball as a test or not even stop, just move to a new location. But today we had a guest and our goal was just dinner. Good thing. The shrimp were medium/large and never really moved in. Flipper visited us for a bit improving the shrimp numbers. Go figure.

We saw other boats but nobody seemed to be killing it. One couple said they had enough for a shrimp cocktail.

If we get out again I won’t stop until I see the sign.

It was a beautiful day. The water temperature was 70, the wind was 8 mph or slower, and the water was light chocolate. We saw a nice-sized sea turtle. 20 feet away.

Ty for the report. Sometimes I ask myself too as long as it is slightly tinted than some shrimp should be there. Usually those days end up a 1/3 cooler and a successful whiting day. Hopefully one more run next Friday.

Thats for the report
