North Bulls Bay 9/28

Shrimped from about 9am-3pm from mid falling thru mid high. Two different locations in the bay.

We couldn’t find the shrimp, or they couldn’t find our bait – or we just couldn’t figure out where to cast to get to the bait. Who knows?

We got about 40 shrimp. All were large to jumbo. I was shocked at the size, but saddened by the numbers (or lack, thereof).

Water was nice; I fell in while pulling a pole. For some odd reason, I didn’t let go as we were drifting by it. While I was in, I walked the line and pulled them all up and drug the boat along.

I did get a 40lb. cownose ray in the net. Needless to say, that was a blast to get into the boat and then free up.

I sure it was about as much fun as the 20 gar I had opening day

Better be glad that ray didn’t pull you in again … thats a big ray to land in a cast net

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Your picture with the ray showes you’re problem. Clear water. Shrimp in the bay do not come out to play unless the water is stirred up and dirty.

Retired - always broke – but better than working!!!

That place is jam full of rays and sharks, I have been fishing there for a long time and have yet to catch a keeper flounder???
