Set up in 3 1/2 foot with tide coming in around 5 PM. Backed out from the poles in 7 foot and anchored to make up bait. After making bait patties I decided to try a couple of trial baits around the boat as water color had a real cloudy stain. Waited 3 minutes and casted. First cast yielded 3 dozen nice shrimp. Made a second cast and same thing. We quickly pulled anchor and baited poles. By this time our poles were showing 4.2 ft of depth. We caught a good 1/4 cooler before dark. Shrimped until 9 pm and pulled the poles as there was only about a foot of pole after tide coming in. Left Shrimp on the poles, but loosing a pole is not worth the risk. Ended up with 2/3 cooler of the largest average shrimp of the season. The full moon made for an amazing evening.
