Went out to the North Hole area on Friday. Left Edisto about 7:30.

We fished about 6 spots and it was sharks, sharks, sharks. We caught about 30 and lost 10 more due to break offs. It was very frustrating.

As soon as a jig or bait hit the bottom it was a hookup. We caught nothing else except I caught 5 kings on a jig as it was dropping. I was jigging and another pretty much used sqid all day. We lost three jigs that were cutoff and probably 8-9 bottom rigs. Lots of winding but not much to bring back. We should have run out deeper.

90-100 feet. Spots that are usually very good for Vermillion, BSB and Triggers. We were in the area of the ditch and 5 -6 miles around at different spots.

Several guys from Edisto had the same problem a few days earlier. A week before they had slayed the vermillion and BSB in the same place.

The bottom looked good but only sharks.

We didn’t take the trolling gear - if we had we would have run on to the banks.
