north inlet 3/8

Slow start but finally found a couple. Caught 15 reds, all slot except 2 over. Caught them on the tail end of the rising. Highlight of the day was a 5 minute dog fight between am osprey amd a bald eagle. It was the best aerial combat I have ever witnessed, the eagle was all over the osprey. The osprey seemed to be able to turn a little better, much though. The eagle definetly had the better top end speed. It went on for so long I cound believe either one tired out before they did. osprey dove straight at the ground from way up and crossed the tree line out of sight with the eagle right on his tail. Didn’t look like it ended well for the osprey.

Sounds like a great day on the H20, thanks for the post! How was the water color/clarity in North Inlet? Everywhere we went Sunday water was muddy brown.

All the fish came from the same school, really had to look for them. They were in a deep portion of a smaller creek. Water was crystal clear.

What did they bite? You have to fish real slow still or is the bite picking up?
Thanks.

Jig head with minnnows, bite was real slow. Saw Fish fred and he had the same results, had to really work to get the fish to bite.

Thanks for the response. I had thought about going tomorrow, but I am going to wait to burn a day off until April when things pick up.

I may kick myself for it later, tomorrow looks like its going to be nice.
