Fished the early am. Caught 12 flounder with 6 keepers, biggest 17". No studs by some nice fish. Caught 1 trout as well.

Mud minnows on jig heads

Word - headed that way bro thx

When you fish mud minnows on a jighead, exactly how do you fish it? Do you cast and slowly reel it back, jig it back, drift, slow troll? Thanks.
Mike

I lift and drop, moving it slowly ahead each time. If there’s current, I try to use the current to “float” it along. Most of the times the hit comes on the drop, occasionally they’ll grab it on the lift.

All of the above depending on conditions, like pawayne said though, they hit it alot on the drop.

thx dog, cracked off some nice ones aft your report – this site has really helped me get dialed all up in it. Now I’m dialed on NI, and just got some other boys in on it too. Web is killer for keepin it reel and real - what what? Best thing is no limit to what I can find online . all free, all the time. Used to be i didn’t fish cause it was all quiet. The more reports and info, more and more boats and broseidons out there like me w/me, got the techniques and whatnot too, like jig rig. chuckfish.com keeps it poppin just like that grease in background. . . greeee-zay…gettum!

Thanks pawayne.
