North Inlet Flounder

Anybody having any luck on the flat fish? What’s the report around PI and North Inlet? I saw my first yellow butterfly yesterday…these are always a good indicator that the bite is about to turn back on for the fall feed…

No idea on Prices or the north inlet… people have been having some luck on the flattys but I am not one of them as of late. Never heard the butterfly thing before but I can dig it. This would be a good thread for the discussions section though, not trying to be smartazz, really glad people are at least posting again.:+1:

“No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alleys, just pool… nothing else.”

…well, some fishing too!

Went Thursday afternoon and caught 5 throwing gulp shrimp.
Only 2 16” keepers.
Ladyfish domination out there.
Fished live shrimp under cork as tide came back in with a few nice trout.
Watched the tarpon put on a show around 7 pm in the mouth of Wood creek.
Thrashing and flinging themselves to eat mullet.
Hit shell banks on way home before dark and had a lot of fun with small reds and some more nice trout.
Flounder bite should turn hot when water starts to cool.

We released an 181/2 inch last Tuesday at Wharf creek entrance. Been catching them sporadically on Zmann soft plastics. My favorite color is “Opening Night” but can’t find any right now.
Pick up two or three about every time we are out on soft plastics in Price Inlet.
