Cool… Hey Tommy… make sure you let our SCKF buddies know. If you could post up for me… I still can’t get logged on for some stoopid reason… I’ll keep ya’ll updated when I am heading home and we’ll set a good day for as many of us as possible. I get 10 days off form work when I get home, have to saty in the local area, but the ville is well within “local” area standards  Man I can’t wait!!! See ya’ll soon!

NikonJ,
It’s a pretty long commute for me, but you can count me in. Let me know what weekend the boss will let you leave Summerville :stuck_out_tongue: Mt.P. is a ways away and she might not be happy to let you leave.

Jimmy Buffett can have Margaritaville, I’m going to Redfishville!

If you guys don’t mind a new guy tagging along to learn from you pro’s I would be happy to join you. As long as it’s not on a drill weekend that is.

Hey Tim!! I figure the Boss will be sick of me in about 3 days so I’ll be set  What we have to do is get a day off fomr the Sq and “pre-fish” one day

djvtxcsc… newbies are ALWAYS welcome  Especially if you are AF :stuck_out_tongue: Looks like yer a jet mech to me, from your avatar. Timbuck and myself are Combat Camera… Keep checking back and when I get home we’ll set up a weekend and do this thing, in the mean time get with some of the guys here or over on SCkayakfishing.com and you’ll have plenty of Brother Yakkers who will show you the ways of the force

Thanks for the welcome, but I don’t know if it makes a difference or not, but just a tinbender here. Actually with this plane it seems to be more composite. Wish I had the equipment or inginuity to build my own yak or even rods. Oh the avatar is me in the nose of the Memphis Belle. I did my summer camp at Wright Patt. and helped in the museum. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing you home safe and sound. I frequent the sckayak site also and sounds like it’s not all bad over there with you being able to take advantage of oppertunities to fish. See ya soon.

Dave

No problem… maybe we need to make a yak out of C-17 parts :stuck_out_tongue: That’d be a hoot… I tell ya what though, I’d lik eto put a Chas Tail flash on my yak… I may have to work on that when I get home… maybe even add a “T” tail to the yak :wink: ha ha !!

A “T” tail would be cool especially with a drive system, might even improve tracking. I don’t think a tailflash would be difficult with the right paint.

Y’all wouldn’t mind a newbie with a canoe tagging along would you?

Not at all. The more fisherman the better. I hope you are okay with getting your canoe scratched up because that will very likely happen.

I’ve taken it out there a few times on the way to Capers Island. Plus I’ve read Sells advice about collecting oysters and do that on a regular basis. So, it’s a well worn canoe.

Thanks! I hope to learn a lot from y’all.

Hey Spartacus,
Welcome and If they won’t mind me I’m sure they won’t mind you. I believe that most folks on here are all about learnin’ and teachin’.
