Headed out of Remley’s Sun morn on the Pleasant C’s with John & Lil’ Bit. Destination SWBs, water temp 72f. Dropped lines by 7:30am picked up a couple slingers. Decided to push on out to Bubble Rock where we had the area to ourselves most of the day, temp 75.5. Ended up with 5 for 7 on the phins (2 lost at the boat), with a good many knockdowns/hook pulls. The 2 bulls and 1 cow caught within 100 yds of the same spot. A good start to the season for us, lots of fun with a beautiful ocean. Other than that, the gaff to the hand was about the only issue. Nothing serious. Oh…and we noticed that apparently half of population of the Lowcountry was at the landing upon return. Only took about 1.5 hrs to get out of there. Geeze!
