Guys weekend to Goat Island produced some good numbers for fish. My first mate for the weekend had caught only one other red his entire 35 years and on Thursday afternoon in Price inlet he had a hit on a 3" pogey that turned into a 38" lifetime fish for him. We caught some slots and one other 34". Buffet of bait swimming everywhere. Caught most on mullet and shrimp. Great time and worth the trip to see his face with that fish.
Nice catch! We were fishing out behind Sullivan’s on Saturday and I caught my first redfish. We ended up catching quite a few but they were all just under slot.
Beautiful red!

Nice fish!
Could you send me a pic of what you are calling a pogey?
Reel, sorry I put an E in my pogy. Ive said it so many times but that was actually the first time I ever typed it. That dock behind the house on the island in the waterway had so many puppy drums under it that it looked like Bream. They loved them some shrimp. We caught 10 before we decided to save bait and move on. Did pull one slot out of there but the little guys were having a feeding frenzy.
It has got to be the hat. Beautiful Red!!
