I fished north of Bull bay for a couple of hours late today. The tide was incoming hard on the n/e wind, and the water was milky. I don’t think trout like milky. I talked to another fisherman who did not get a bite. I didn’t either. Not one bite.
That was supposed to make everyone who could not go yesterday feel better. But it was also the truth.
Sounds like a tough day, today looks horrible but forecast looks good tomorrow, hope you can get out and make up for it.
cheers

Wanted to fish Friday but saw that wind forecast coupled with the flood tide and said, “no thank you”. And your comment about trout not liking milky water, that is the absolute truth. Can you catch a couple in milky water? Yes. Will you find higher numbers with larger fish in clean water? Most definitely. Look for “green” water with good current breaks and 6-8 feet of water. Once the winter drops the water temps down lower, the water will clear up very nicely and the trout fishing is usually pretty solid.
