Bushy’s brackish side hasn’t been very productive for me lately. We’ve caught a few fish, but it’s been a challenge. Artificials, live shrimp, and finger mullet seem to be equally productive, but really slack.
I have yet to try the freshwater side. I own 3 bass lures total, so I probably won’t try it for a while lol.

For any fellow feather chuckers… BP is not a great place for flies… if you are out on the main river it’s fine but hose creeks get pretty tight… I am going to try and make this one… If anyone wants to swing by the shop I can show ya a few spots on Google Earth I used to fish…

He’s right. The creeks are pretty tight— I have trouble in some of them even with a spinning reel. However, the whole cove is only a couple feet deep at low tide, if you can figure out any structure to it, you might be able to find some fishing grazing.
Me and DDOlson went up to Bushy Park and looked around this morning…brought a couple of fishing poles and some mud minnows. I caught two trout from the dock, under a popping cork - here’s one of 'em:
you guys should try for the super slam. Trout, founder, red, striper, and catfish. I have done four out of five but I never seem to find the striper. Sorry I can’t be there. It sounds like it’s going to be a good turnout.
Lol I got the trout, red, flounder, and striper a couple weeks ago, but no catfish, which normally I could boat blindfolded with both arms behind my back.
There was a good turnout for the Meet and Fish this morning at Bushy Park. I ended up catching 5 trout - biggest was 14.5" - First one on a popping cork with a mud minnow, the rest on z-man plastics.
Thanks Greg for the Post. The event was super in my book. We had ten Yak Anglers and I would estimate about 20 trout (10 - 15" caught plus the lonely Redfish (15"). To my knowledge the majority the fish were caught on artificials. More often the trout were at 14".
Here are some more Photos from the event.

Please provide us with any ideas for the next Meet & Fish in December. Ice Fishing Anyone?
I had a great time and it was nice to meet everyone that I have followed on this forum. I am now able to post and look forward to keeping in touch. Thanks for putting this Meet and Greet together.
