November Meet & Fish (Thoughts)

ElGeeBee and myself are in charge of the November Meet & Fish as Justin will be out of town. We have been discussing another Freshwater Meet & Fish at Santee State Park. Any comments about this?

I wouldn’t mind some nice bass…is this a prime season for bass? Because trout and redfish arereally good then

The Bass and Striper should be aggressive right now and as long as we have decent weather it should still be a great time to catch some pigs

Wilderness Systems Ride 135

I’ve not done any fresh water fishing yet? hmmm. Sounds like an opportunity to me to test my new light rod.

So Santee State Park should be a great location for the Meet & Fish?

I’m not much of a freshwater fisherman, but I’ll give it a try. May need some pointers…

Sounds good. May want to take a look at Ferguson Landing too. It’s just outside of Eutawville towards Cross near Eutaw Springs. Some sheltered areas around the old sawmill in case it’s windy but still have access to big water too. There is a launch fee, $3 I think. Bell’s Marina at Eutaw Springs also has some decent fishing and shelter from the wind. Not sure what their launch fee is. Also at Eutaw Springs is a pond across from the main lake that I don’t think has ever seen a boat.

I think ya’ll need to go check out Santee State Park… if it is the one in Moncks Corner I was there for the blue ways paddle fest and it was a BEAR getting the kayak down to the launch plus unless you plan on paddling out to the main part of the tail race I think you are not allowed to fish “in” the park… just a few things to think about and check out. I may be wrong but it’s worth checking out.

Nikonjedi, Santee State Park is in Santee, SC…it is on Lake Marion…good bass fishing around the corner from the boat ramp.

Not to stay on the thought of Freshwater but October, November are always good months for Freshwater as well. It does not manner if it is saltwater or freshwater the fish are getting hungry to fatten up.

If we would decide Saltwater any suggestions there?

Grice Cove by the DNR, Edisto, Folly Beach, ???

Maybe somewhere close & convenient? Lets go back to Paradise Landing…or the Ville?

-Lewis

The Ville sounds nice… the DNR doesn’t have a whole lot of room. What about kiawah?

Do you have a suggestion for Kiawah?
