Now that I have totally stripped all the decals off the motor cowling what next?
Do I wet sand it then take it to someone to do a camo job on it?
Or do I take it to someone and let them do all the work? If I take it to someone, who should that person be?
I am also contemplating taking up all the carpet in the entire boat and having it Line-Xed. Haven’t decided if I am ready for all that work yet or not. I do know that the wet carpet is heavy and starts to stink if I dont take it to a car wash ASAP. If I go that route who would be a good person in the charleston area to do the Line-X job?

the same people that do the trucks. They can color natch it also, but id think it would be very heavy. I have it on the front keel to about 18" back and it has saved the hull several beatings

Right now I am wanting to go about painting the motor cowling and need to know how to go about painting it. The Line-X will wait until after duck season but want to get the cowling camoed up before duck season if possible.

If you want to do it yourself, check out Fibre Glast’s “Chromaveil”.

Chuck, You can buy a Camo stencil kit for whatever purpose you need. I was a few of them In Orangeburg @ Blackwater Marine. It is a kit i think. If I am not mistaken it is put out by Mossy Oak. Cabela’s has them also.

This pic doesn’t show the whole boat but I thought it was cool looking. It’s a “boat wrap” in custom camo. They can do the boat and motor to match.

Who did the boat wrap? I am not worried about it matching the boat as long as the motor cowling is camoed.

That particular boat was done by Mr. Sign in summerville.
