Ran my old friend Tinkerbell’s 22 Henry O yesterday. He and a buddy dove while Edisto82 and I manned the boat.
Left the hill close to 10AM to find a slick ocean.
First, we hit up a knothead spot and got our limit of them. Only threw back a few shorts in the hour or less it took.
Ran on to a spot I wanted them to check out. Surveyed the area for a little while before deciding where to drop them. Viz was beautiful. 2 or 3 sea turtles were at this spot, and we could see them swimming 50-60’ down.
Divers got in with a good bit of bottom time to check out this spot. Tinkerbell speared a few of the many gags and snapper, and his buddy Chris got some great pics.
Awesome pics… What kind of wreck do you think it was?
Not sure. Mostly metal wreckage they said.
Luke 8:22-25
Really? Shoot me the gps coordinates and i will cross reference. Surly we have dove this wreck and I can look through my log and offer some answers to your questions.
Also is that the same Henry O that was parked in your drive way for so long? If so that thing has come a l-o-n-g way.
Cool pics. Notice how some are taken with flash and others not. No “reds” in the non flash pictures. The water depth prevents them from showing up. It is kind of erry when you shoot a fish and a cloud of green spews out of his side. For a while you think it is some kind of gut matter till you shin it with your flash light and realize it is blood. (Insert Jaws music here.)
Reputation is what people have come to think of you.
Character is the way you act when no one is around.

Yes; he refit the boat with new controls, wiring, lights, T top, swim platform, plumbing, electronics, low hour 4-stroke, etc. He also smoothed out the glass work and has new Awlgrip on the hull and inner liner plus non-skid on the deck. Redesigned the leaning post a little and put on an anchor shute, at my request , as well. He did almost all of it himself.
Thanks again for the invite Phin. Had a great time out there. We couldnt have asked for better seas the last two trips. Also good job getting us back with all that fog esp since we didnt have radar to guide us.
