Trent and I ran out with the infamous Mike O, onboard the O-Baby, a 24’ Grady with a sweet 350 Yam. We floated the net with one throw, and ran to SWB, and were greeted with one of the strangest bites I have seen in years. The Scamps were hitting like BSB’s, and we could not catch any other fish for the first hour. When we tried to catch triggers, we ended up with 2 fat Red Grouper, and had to release Coney’s, Rock Hinds, Graybe’s, as we were full on grouper. Mike was getting mad because we come all that way, and he couldn’t catch a single AJ or sharpnose. It sucks when you have to pull off a spot and move because of the endangered grouper bite. Highlight of the day was the new state record White Grunt. The fish was 6lb last night, but was still a respectable 5.965 today. I donated the fish to DNR, and they had pulled the oliths and sexed it while we were there. The storm on the way home made for an interesting run, as the SW swell stacked up…I never knew you could launch a Grady! Thanks again Mike for one hell of a great day…When they let you out of the home, we will take you fishing again.

You are the Daddy on the bottom, that Dolphin sounds like you also are the Daddy on top, {on the other posts}. MAN, what a day-trip, Mike can get the reef donkeys and sharks at the 60 anytime. Good report, keep up the good work…
Nice catch as always Paul!!! Glad you guys had a safe trip, Give me a call I need a few parts!!! wish I could find the grouper like that, nice pics thanks!!!
Paul, you are slipping. What on earth kind of fish packing and organizing is this?

Good goin Paul! Must say tho, dats one ugly fish!! And yeah, I was suprised too, to find out that it IS possible to get all 12,000 lbs of Grady out of the water!!
Duckcommander it is very hard to organize the box when the fish are coming over the rail faster than the water coming over Niagera Falls. We did get the box in good order finally. All in all another great day on the water.
