Got up early today to head on out with my boy but bait was hard to find. Stopped at Wally World, Henry’s, and then the old Wally World in Mt.P. and finally found my bait of choice. By now it was pushing 10 am and we had not even wet a line. Back to house grab the gear, load the cooler, and off to the water we go. First line in gets nailed, Dylan is fighting for his life, 2nd line in and we are doubled up, like father, like son. What a proud moment, father and son doing battle at the same time. This non stop action continued all morning until lunch time, never got both rods in the water with out them being hit. About time to leave and Dylan hooks the daymaker (5lb largemouth) What an exciting day!!!
Totals for day:
2 waters
2 Juice boxes
2 Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
1 dozen nightcrawlwers
12 for 15 on bluegills
1 for 1 on largemouth
Lots of high fives
lots of smiles
lots of stories to last a life time
I’m sorry I thought this was the Off “The” Shore Forum
I was bummed all weekend for not being offshore catching tuna with the rest of you guys, but you know what, I would not have traded this morning for a boat full of tuna. Glad I got to see my 3-1/2 year old wrestle that bass. Take the time and take a kid fishing, we don’t always need the biggest, best boat and always have to catch the most and biggest fish to have the time of our lives. Just thought I would share this with y’all
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. FISH 24/7------------ 25 Grady w/ a couple of Gas Guzzling 175 Johnsons “O-SEA-D” the old “Havanadaydream”
