My best buddy just got back from offshore. He landed his first sailfish today. I warned him of the new rules set forth by CF. He wanted pictures so he had to dry him out. I made the people @ HMS aware of the catch, I also called Jessie Jackson to make sure no discrimination complaints will be filed, called Hillary Clinton to get a good blackening seasoning, and lastly let everyone know here on CF that proper rules were followed. Why does everyone think sailfish is not good table fair??? If you follow old Hillary’s seasoning, it ain’t too bad. Can’t wait to get out there and do it again to fill the freezer. O-Sea-D over and out.

Did he just throw it in a dark, ice-filled cooler, with hard plastic siding? That’s sick! That fish probably bonked his head on the side of the hard cooler, laying in cold darkness as it suffocated to death.
I’m going to start marketing soft padded coolers with clear tops and painted Gulf Stream blue on the inside. That way the fish can think he’s still free swimming and have happy thoughts in its final moments.
Be sure you smoke the sailfish BEFORE you vacuum seal it…
On another note, I used to live in Tennessee, and back in the early '90s, Kroger stores there were selling cryovac-packed frozen marlin steaks at four bucks a pound. Very tasty, and less than half the price of swordfish.
