O2 Diffuser Problems

Been fishing for about an hour Saturday morning when my grandson noticed our bait struggling and said I forgot to turm on the O2. Turns out I had it on, but the back pressure was causing the bubbles to come out at the hose connection to the stone because it was totally blocked. I usually have a Venturi pump hooked up too, but didn’t that day.

Tried to clean it while we were out there and then ran some sand paper over it when we got home even though this was only the 2nd time using this particular diffuser. It’s a Keepalive 3" ceramic stone and worked great the first time out with lt.

What with all the rods, reels, electronics etc… that I have bought over the years I never would have thought it would be a rock causing me such a headache.

I can’t seem to get a real person on the line at Keepalive. I did leave a message, but figured I would check here as well and see if anyone has any ideas?

Throw it in the trash along with the 2 I have had problems with. Dont waste your time trying to get ahold of keep alive. Cause they never answer the phone and never return messages. The first one I just took back to richard where I bought it. Second one worked for a little while then stopped working as well. Granted first one was probably my fault because I put to much pressure to it but you would think think it should should be able to hold more pressure than i applied to it. Dont know what happened with the second one but looks like the seal between the plastic and stone busted as well again.

If the bubbles are coming out from the plastic by the hook up on yours as well, the seal is probably busted on yours as well. I have tried to reseal mine and it will work for a trip or 2 then starts leaking again.

For a 50$ stone they should work forever. I usually dont publicly bash a product but when u cant get the problem fixed through customer service AND you give them a second try on their product it deserves a bad review.

I have talked to others who have had the same problems including a couple bait shop owners.

This is what they all recommend. I havent purchased one yet but it’s on my list for next year since my tx season is almost over.

Call Larry Brenner at Oakwood bait and tackle on lake Lanier. He carries these or at least he did when I was in there back in dec.
