Looking for the silver lining. I got my letter in the mail from Blue Cross/Blue shield. … Congratulations you can keep your policy, but rates will increase 12%
My employer covers my insurance 100% but not my wife and last child in the house. I currently pay an independent insurance agent for them. All B.S. aside. Can I actually benefit from obuma care?
What’s so crazy is the lack of information on what obuma care can really do for a working family.
Fred - be glad you can keep your policy, premiums are going up - standard cost increases
go on the exchange and what you’ll find is higher premiums, higher deductibles but broader coverage
you’ll get maternity care and mental health coverage, forget the fact that you don’t need or want them - you get them anyway, along with access to fewer doctors
fairly easy to understand that the insurance companies are simply spreading the risk (=cost) across a larger risk pool, since they are required to insure folks with pre-existing health issues, the high medical cost of providing those services is spread among all payers, individuals are no longer evaluated based upon their personal health history or behaviors - no discount for being healthy, non-smoker, non-drug abuser, or beyond having baby age
Fred; I haven’t even looked at the Buma Care site, but the News shows say that you have to input your Checking Account Routing number! Not on your life would I do that. That is a license to steal, as if the Federal Government needs another one:angry: Saw where some woman signed up and later checked her Checking Account balance and was (-) $800[:0]
No! If no one signs up, they will just keep charging you a fine by way of the IRS! Remember the SC ruled it was a tax! Tax/fine, whatever it’s called, they are going to take it from you one way or the other. I think you will have to prove on your Fed Income Tax that you have coverage.
Guys and Gals, I’m in no way a supporter of a 2000+page health care plan that was not even read before being passed. I just want to know if there could possibly be a silver lining for the working class family? I really doubt it as it has already cost me money.
I think I’m getting to the point of being the dog that has been beat so much that I just want to lay down and say Yes Sir, My name is Toby. It’s that or go to jail for doing what is morally right.
Fred, if you go to jail you get free health care and your family can go on welfare and get it free also:wink: Is that a deal or is that a deal:question:
