Any thoughts on this kayak? I found one for $400 with some gear. I can’t find very much info on-line on it though.
Thanks,
John

Ocean kayaks are sturdy boats, not the fastest, but reliable.
Looks like a decent kayak if you don’t mind molded footwells.
If you get a decent paddle, 400 is a ■■■■ good deal.
What site did you find this yak on?

I’ll tell you as soon as I decide to get it or not.

I saw that Kayak, probably on the same site you did. I might have bit, if they had posted a picture. I wasn’t going to drive up to Goose Creek just to check it out. Ocean Kayaks are supposed to be pretty stable. I have seen pictures of guys fishing with their legs hanging over the side (which you can do on a few of the SOTs). It looks like the storage is pretty good.
The only dwnside I’ve seen is that they ride a little low in the water. Fine in the summer. Chilly in the winter.
I hope you get a great deal.

It was on craigs list. Note the past tense…I picked it up yesterday. There is a brand new tarpon 130t in the paper for sale now. Great deal on a brand new yak.
