ocean to ourselves sun 14 May

Left out of GT marina for a day of deep water fishing and knew it was gonna be rough to start out and did not dissapoint 3-5 less than 5secs
3hrs to SW banks but still made it as the sun was coming up. Found scattered weeds and 20 knt winds with 5 ftrs making fishing tough but hooked and landed a 25lbs bull around 0800 and the fish were scattered all day making our way north towards the hole and zig zagging 150-600 ft . No real pattern found or location . But the fish were big and we had a good time. The sea and wind came down soon enough to give us a fast and pleasant ride home . finished the day with 8 for 10 on gaffer mahi. The two misses were on me . aside from that we never saw another boat the entire day guess everybody stayed home.

We were out Sunday also 32ftooter left from rimleys rough seas didn’t leave till 5am boated 4 gaffers 1 nice bull few other knock downs , your rite though fish were scattered .we ran out beside the teaser so I know he battled his way out to!

ya its tuff when you can only fish weekends sometimes at the mercy of the weather but i’ve missed so many days this yrs because of weather i knew sunday or should i say hoped it was coming down in the afternoon so finally went for it. The weed line we were on at SW banks would have been epic it if the win hadn’t scattered it all over creation. Tight lines all .
