Not as smooth as NWS predicted. Odd…
Forgot the camera.
Found a few keeper scamps.
Good haul of orange, gray, pink & BSB.
A half a dozen AJ’s around 40# put a beating on Justin & Henry.
(usually eating on a b-liner being reeled up)
At one spot it appeared like everyone was emulating Bill Dance trying to make a hookset. Info once written by Mr Sellsfish probably helped avoid a dislocation. Sounder view and hook size - thankx Bo. Got into a lot of nice triggerfish.
Brought up a very colorful fish: orange, white and brown stripes all over, large ‘fans’ for pectoral fins - a real pretty looker. As it came over the side the cockpit cleared out - 4 grown men moved forward as though someone announced “open bar” on the bow. My first lionfish. I was quickly educated about the Serious Implications concerning this critter. Once ‘properly’ vented it was committed to the deep.
I beleive your suppose to kill the lion fish!! Thats what I heard caught about four or five a few weeks ago and didnt throw none of them back!!! They are bad to our ecosystem here if I am not mistaking not a biologist by no means just what I have been told?? Anyone know???

“Properly” vented = killed.
It’s no secret these invasives are bad news to native fish populations. How bad remains to be seen.
