A baittank, an ipilot trolling motor, planer boards. 
sorry couldn’t resist. Live bait in my opinion is more consistent than trolling artificials. And it doesn’t burn fuel riding around all day.

Not everyone is trolling. I personally don’t care for it, but will do it if that’s what it takes.

If you can find schooling fish try a clear super spook or double fluke rig. If you want to catch more than one or two fish from a school go in quietly with your trolling motor and stay a long cast away from the fish. I usually turn the big motor off atleast 50 yards away from schooling fish. Do not make the rookie mistake of running into schooling fish with the big motor. I’ve seen enough good fishing ruined by this mistake to last me a lifetime! Also, throw your bait in slightly front of the direction the school appears to be moving.
Take some crackers or pre-popped popcorn with you. If there are others ruining the fishing move a good distance away and throw out the popcorn or crackers. The gulls will get some free food and the crazies will be running and gunning away from your good fishing spot. I haven’t done it yet, but I’ve been sorely tempted to, several times.

Trolling is also expensive, We lost at least $100.00 worth of umbrella rigs on down riggers at the hill fri.!
Only deal is if you lose all your minners b/c a scale clogs up the fancy littlr filter on a $350 bait tank:face_with_head_bandage:

Easy there buddy…lol…it clogged the air line not the filter 
you let me know when Purdy boat is ready for a bait tank. I got 2 brand new G&M’s for sale…each has your name on them

Bomb island! Limits being caught in 30min or less. Smaller fish but hey its a bent rod…find them on the depth finder and drop your baits.
