On the heels of Lowrance’s presentation, we are going to have folks bring in pictures from their depth finders to share with the club and discuss what exactly it is we are looking at. Please take some time over the next couple weeks while on the water to snap a few photos if you stumble across something interesting. For example, I plan to bring in pics showing the difference between tree stumps on sonar and tree stumps on downscan. I used to think I was anchoring on a pile of fish only to find out I was in a stump field. Be creative, see what you can find out there to bring in. If you have old pictures, bring them in too. I know a lot of you have been using that feature for a while.
David Padgett has been kind enough to offer to bring in his Lowrance power supply which will allow us to connect and upgrade units at the meeting as well. Plan to bring in your unit if it’s in need of a software update.(HDS, HDS Gen 2, Touch)
Should be a good time! I hope to see everyone there.
Great idea shawn. What would be the best way to bring them in? SD card? Micro SD? Flash drive?..I can probably dig up a few and get some more by the next meeting.
If alot of people are doing this in the next couple of weeks it would great if they could take a screen shot on the unit versus taking a picture of the unit with a camera. The difference is night and day. But do what u can do…
If u dont have an SD card in the unit it will save it internally. When u want to put it on a card, insert the card and go to the saved files in the info section and move it to the card.
Don’t forget to bring in your pics tonight. This should be a great learning experience.
Oh, by the way, in case you haven’t heard, we are also giving away the HDS Touch tonight. That might be worth showing up for as well!! See everyone at the Flight Deck!
I’m glad you’re interested in joining up. All you need to do is fill out this form(link below) and either send it in or bring it to the meeting tonight. We meet at the Flight Deck in Lexington at 7:00 but come early if you want to eat and talk fishing.
I just want to say that I enjoyed it at last night’s meeting and I look forward to future meetings and events. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the club! I’m knew at striper fishing and I hope to gain knowledge from a good group of people. Thanks again!
