I’m wondering…did you have some footing to get back in the yak…how would it be in openwater trying to get back in with waders full of water…I have thought that if this occassion came …I would have to climb out of the waders in order to get back in my yak…what do you think?
once to the bank, no problem getting in the yak, if I could of turned my boat back over while it was hung up and my waders full of water, yeah I would of been able to get back in it. Theirs several different ways of doing it. With it up side down and pulling my self up on the boat to try to upright it…I certainly would of been able to get back in it…had to get it upright first!..I want my 140 back!
When the waters warmer, I plan on flipping it on purpose, but not with it empty. Can’t remember what floated away other then my paddle and my minnow bucket, believe my tackle bag, two coolers(one which the coons really like),pfd, two out of three rods, were still strapped to my boat while it was up side down. Both coolers, and the tackle bag had filled with water, ended up draining them out at the boat landing. So when I’m going to play with my boat this summer, I’m going to try to have(not any rods) the boat rigged with about the same things on it as I would if I’m fishing.
