Off Topic...Sheepies

I’m only posting here because so many that follow this forum are local to Columbia. I don’t fish the lake in the winter, but I do fish the coast and starting about now switch from inshore for reds and trout to fishing the reefs for sheepshead.

We did the first trip this year about a week ago and my son fished the same area on his boat along with us. I do have Sea Tow, flairs, VHF etc…, but it was still very comforting to have a buddy boat near by when in a small boat in those cold water temps, even though we are within sight of land most times.

He cannot always go or may just come on my boat sometimes, so if anyone wants to head down sometime and buddy boat, just let me know and I will let you know when we’re going. Striper gear works fine. I use my 6500C’s.

The fishing was very good when we went last week, so trying to get back soon and tentatively looking at New Years weekend.

How many BSB did you catch? You do know that they are endangered, right?
