Hey Sailfish et al… How do you get that wave / period graph??? looks much better that what I’ve been using… Thanks

Why don’t you guys just disclose the dock location, take a tape measure, measure it up and argument solved?

Better than this:

Where’s Greg1? Is he still on Daniel Island?

For all the critics and fish estimation experts that have negative ■■■■■■■■]:
We have this handy item taped to the boat called a fish ruler which states on it what the species size regs are. Maybe we should start taking pics with them on it for the skeptics. I can verify every fish kept was over 20" , we did however throw back a few that were right at 19.75-20", if there is any doubt about size we return them to Davey Jones. The smallest we kept was 22". Not quite sure what size the planks at that dock were but maybe one day I’ll measure them for the concerned individuals who would like to know (with measurement photos of course).
I never allow undersize fish on my boat and 23Sailfish believes in this policy also. Its just not worth the fine or the harm to the fish population.
All in all it was a great day and I want to thank 23Sailfish for throwing the invite.

QUIT CRYING AND BUY A BIGGER BOAT OR TAKE IT LIKE A MAN.

There will never be a shortage of ice holes.

You must not have read the memo from the gregster:smiley::smiley:

We’ve caught at least one tagged scamp in 150’-200 in the past year. He was t&r’d in the same depth we caught him in.

… Not much we could do other than slow down and get wet. Waves weren’t big, just on top of each other and the wind kept spray on the boat for the whole ride home.

Man I hate it when that happens. Congrats on a productive day out on the big pond.

I can tell you that when and if I catch my first sailfish, I will remove him from the water, give him a big fat kiss on his big fat fish lips and take a picture. I will work hard to revive him and wish him luck. From that point on, I won’t take anymore out of the water; especially if it is against the law. I would also like to see the statute.

Prepare to be boarded!

I am not sure if you finished reading the Releasing Sailfish…FYI thread, but I found some information stating it was against NMFS federal law to remove a sailfish from the water if your intent was to release it.

Show me where it says that please.

I am just going on info that I came across in my own research. I first received an email from Double D Charters in South Florida…

Double D Charters:

for the past year or so, we have only taken pctures jn the water. According to NMFS you cannot take a billfish out of the water for a picture. I was not aware of that law until recntly. By the way, I haven’t killed a sailfish in years,

I know this is completely random, but…

I recently did a internet search on killing sailfish and your website came up. I happened to read through and saw the picture of some guys holding a sailfish on the back of your boat. Beautiful fish. I am in Charleston, SC and the stick fish have been extremely thick. We have caught at least one in 3 consecutive trips, and on the last trip we caught 3. We posted pictures on the local fishing website, and it started some controversy. I just wanted your opinion on boating sailfish for pictures versus leaving them in the water and

NIce fish.If I caught my first sail I would get pics and everything.

No, but I work closely with John Wauhop, Mike Shelton, Paul Harris, and Jonathan Zucker, all great guys and amazing fisherman. We have been doing the final stages of the R&D process for the offshore products. We are headed to ICAST in Vegas in about a month, and let me tell you these guys have some surprises for everyone. Let me know if you need me to relay any messages.

PS I picked up the new artificial ballyhoo yesterday, rumor has it the other test boat in Hatteras was outcatching the real baits with the artificial like 8 to 1. The thing looks great and all their plastics swim amazingly. Can’t wait to get back on the water to give it a go.

I knew we should have dried her out…

Who knows a good way to cook AJ? I kept a small one and searched all over the fillet and there are no worms, so I will attempt to make it palletable. I just need suggestions.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling?

Thank you Fishb8

Kinda like Dove. Marinate in Italian, wrap in bacon, grill, chunk the AJ and eat the bacon.
