Couldnt ask for a better day weather wise… run out in the morning was dark but we made it out to the ledge and found water that was 76-77.5… put a dozen or so blackfin in the boat… bunch of skip jacks…got cut off a few times…on the way in we stopped to bottom fish and I was reminded why I dont like bottom fishing… “because I suck at it”… only caught sea bass and one trigger fish… Was just all around a great day… good ride out, good fishing, good ride home.

one of the guys in my crew loves to eat them…I have eaten some… they are not to bad… … If it were up to him we would have kept all 15-20 of them we caught…I think we used one or two fish for bait and brought two home for him to eat…
JD you should hook up with Courtland. He has taken me out many times and knows his bottom fishing. Courtland use to fish for tuna up in Jersey but has focused on the bottom fishing here for the last few years. Could be a trip for the ages if the two of you combine your skills and numbers for a day.</font id=“size2”>

Thought I heard that you might be looking to move up to a CH 31. I’ve got a friend looking for a CH in the 24 to 26 range. Give me a ring if you might be interested in selling. 247-1705.
