Anyone else planning on going Friday? Looks like weather is gonna be nice.
Better go south with strong N wind in the morning
Well I guess I will be out there by myself Friday, so for those of you more experienced bluewater fisherman sitting on the hill what direction would you recommend I point my bow to catch some wahoo and tuna?

If you don’t know which way to point your bow…how you gonna know how to catch the fish?
Just looking for some advice, not sarcastic comments. Thought that’s what this site was about. Guess not! Thanks anyway.

Typically I like to fish north early in the season, but if it’s rough I’ll take the best ride available. Plenty of fish out there, not worth beating yourself and your boat up…

Below is the weather for the GTH have fun in that chop slop. 2ft at 4 seconds out of the north is not fun in a 28’ boat and am sure there will be more 3-4 footers in there the 2 footers. Also with as rough as it has been out there warm water pushed off again and color looks like crap in my opinion. If you go good luck be safe and bring your mouth piece.

Looks like one of the better days I have seen in a while. Will be calming all day. I would go…
DAM WORK!
3.9ft at 6 seconds w/ 13kt winds, gusting to 16kts out of the NNE. bumpy day out there.
Ride out was a little bumpy but made it out at around 27kts and it laid down around lunch and was a nice ride in at 30. Went south to try and find some warm water and did but only one strike all day and he chewed through the leader a couple minutes in. H2O temp was 68-72.5 and he was in 69 degrees.

glad to hear you at least got out RE and it was not too bad.
Did the new boat do good on gas?
“Good things come to those who bait”
Yeah only burned 125 gallons. 179 mile round trip. About same fuel mileage as the old boat with single engine.

Dang that’s pretty good. I bet it gets out there quicker than the old one too.
