Offshore 4/24 (13 Dolphin)

1st Trip of the year for Chasin’

Very slow morning with only one little tunny until 11am, when we found a small but defined weedline. Put 13 quick dolphin in the boat, inlcuding a 42lb bull. Left them biting, so 1st Mate could be back in time for wedding pic’s. Good thing for his relationship, no last minute billfish bites and we made it back quick at 40kts. Ocean was beautiful. Little bumpy going out, but not bad. Weedline was out at about 130deg’s in 350’. No wahoo action.

We saw the boat that sank at the Chas 60 out in about 300’ of water, trolled the long line over the bow (literally) and no bites. It’s floating with the bow pointing straight up, about 1/4 out of the water still. (Glad those 4 made it back to shore safely)

Nice bull guys

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.

solid way to start the season!!!

Hitting that boat while running in the dark would ruin your season…(**()…

I guess that answers my earlier post questioning what happens to a flipped boat…

weedlines were forming and breaking up pretty quickly yesterday, found a nice weedline in 500 feet

Good job. Nice bull.

NICEEE BULL great catch. how was it reeling that Bull in?

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.

Great start to the season for sure. Thanks for the report. Nice job!!
